I constantly have to remind myself to stop, relax, breathe, and enjoy the journey.

It's so easy to get caught up in the quest for the "goal" that we often forget that life is happening all around us while we hyper-focus on the future we wish to create. My last few days have been a bit stressful, and despite being super excited about what has been done, all I could focus on was what was left to do and what hadn't been tackled yet.

A few months away from turning 40 (that's a bit nuts; don't mind me; I will be living in denial for some time), I decided to change my entire life and entirely focus on my art and recipe development.

Today, I'm looking at textile design samples based on my paintings while prototyping cool products to make with them. The future is exciting. It is this quest that motivates me every day to wake up and keep going. What I'm working on now, almost at mid-life, truly is my real life purpose and it took all these years to get here. My impatient younger self had to go through a lot of different adventures to gather the necessary skills to this new journey and only now do I start to understand why it had to be this way.

I know the road ahead is long and full of bumps that my current self cant even imagine but I know future me will be able to handle anything coming her way now that she has gather all these skills.

But, for now, I'll just focus on the present and celebrate the accomplishments and sacrifices of the past that brought me here. Not every day is good but there is something good in every day to focus on and on my quest to reach the "goal" I'm reminding myself that it's ok to be scared and have days where the unknown is just too much to take that I start rethinking every decisions I've ever taken because no matter what, deep down in my heart and my gut, I know this is my true calling.
